About this simulator

Gas A represents a soluble gas such as CO₂. Gas B is inert in this first prototype and reflects from the liquid interface. Populate the liquid and headspace, then press Start Demo to activate molecular exchange.

Measurements

Pressure and temperature are calculated from particle population and mean squared molecular speed. All pressure and temperature readouts use a rolling average so the gauges represent macroscopic measurements rather than individual molecular fluctuations.

Model

Values are scaled for teaching rather than tied to a particular physical chamber size. The simulation is qualitative and is intended to reveal equilibrium, diffusion, partial pressure, and temperature–pressure relationships.
